Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual 5k Love (10k option available this year too!). The event was organized to honor the memory of Caleb Stecker who was born 8/8/08 with a congenital heart defect called HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome). Caleb received his treatment at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Sadly, he passed away at only 50 days old on 9/28/08 due to complications following surgery.
His courageous spirit affected everyone who met him and in celebrating his life we are also bringing awareness to the community regarding congenital heart defects. Please join us in celebrating this special day!
